Greenhouse Laboratory Activities

(There is a formal lab component to this course, held on Fridays, as listed below. However, you will be also working off-class hours in the greenhouse and on the computer to learn certain skills, especially when working on your poinsettia crop.) Lab is from 11:15 am to 1:10 pm on Fridays only.

The campus greenhouse is open from 8:00 am to 5:15 pm Monday through Friday. South Milledge Greenhoouses are available 24/7 with a pass code you will recieve from from Dr. Thomas. You will be given access to the greenhouses for weekend watering and pulling of shade cloth. Students are required to grow their own crop, specifically, no one will water for you! If you must be out of town, you must make arrangements to have greenhouse duties performed prior to leaving. Classmates are the preferred source of help. If you are ill, contact our greenhouse manager, Pam Lewis, and we'll cover your crop duties for the duriation of your illness. We will meet in the classroom, Room 1205, unless otherwise instructed.
