Project Suggestions:

We will discuss this in detail in class.

1). Select a campus or downtown building, or the Ga. Square Mall, or even you rown dorm room to use as your hypothetical location that you wish to
do an interiorscape plan for. Take pictures of the interior spaces you wish to add plants to.

2). Draw a diagram of the floor plans and mark areas that plants will be added to.

3). Measure the light levels in those areas. Dr. Thomas will lend you a meter.

4). Read your text book and select plants based upon the environment and your design concepts.

5). Add to your drawing designations where the plants will be located and what modifications will need to be performed to accomodate the plants.

6). Estimate costrs of the plant material wholesale and retail.

7). Estimate the labor cost for installation (hours, fees, equipment rentals, etc)

8). Draw up a bid or proposal for this project and submit it as if I was the customer.

Then generate a report that could be used as a sales tool. 10 pages or less, MS Word text or Powerpoint. Your report should indicate areas of improvement that your company could provide the client. For a sample of an "A" project from last year, see Dr. Thomas. We keep one on file.
