Attendance is mandatory due to the limited time we have to expose you to the plant materials. Makeup lectures are not possible. The class will meet in the upper range of the greenhouse and will be shown the pants materials, as well as information given to allow you to fully appreciate the role of the selected plants in the industry.

Quizzes:

Plant ID Quizzes will be given every Friday lecture session in the campus greenhouse. Quizzes will simpy be the identification of 10 out of the 20 presented specimens. You are expected to know the scientific name, spelled correctly, know at least one common name, and know the basic requirements, such as low or high light, moist or dry conditions preferred. No makeup quizzes will be given, but students do get to drop their lowest quiz score prior to final grade averaging. A short, no-point practice quiz will be given early in the first week.

Assignment Deadline Policy:
Late assignments (excluding tardy assignments due to excused absences) will be assessed a 10% penalty during the first 24 hours following the deadline, 20% during the second 24 hour period, 30% during the third 24 hour period, etc. It is in your best interest to submit a completed assignment prior to its deadline.
