The Tropical Plant Identificantion is a course that will give you the critical skill necessary to be competent in the interiorpscaping industry, the tropical foliage wholesale and retail industry, and will serve as important backgound information for greenhouse managers, botanists and

Hort 3130 builds a data base of the top105 tropical foliage plants most commonly used in the indutry. This group includes plants used for holiday decoration, as well as main-stay greenery. It will also cover many unusual tropical plants you may come into conatct with during your careers.

Emphasis will be placed upon learning, and being able to identify the tropical plants, the correct spelling of the scientific nomenclature, as well as learning the environmental conditions necesssary to maintain and grow these specimens in greenhouses, office buildings and homes.
